We've Arrived (mostly)

It's Thursday, July 2, and the 2009 iSalt Bulgaria team has arrived in Sofia. Well, most of the team. We are short one person because of a missing passport. After an all-night search came up empty-handed, and no other options were feasible, Shelby has stayed behind. This does not mean that she isn't part of our team! Shelby has now become our chief prayer warrior back home. While we all miss her and wish she was here, we know that God is in control of everything, and that this will be used to His honor and glory.

We also arrived without two pieces of luggage, both belonging to Jonah. Hopefully they will be delivered to us before his clothes start to walk around by themselves!

On arriving in Sofia, we checked in to our hostel - a place near the city center where we have stayed for the past four years and grown to love. We then walked for a bit, stopping to change our money before going to dinner at our favorite restaurant in the Sofia Centre, Oogo. It is now 8:30 p.m. and we are all beat and going to bed. We are taking an early train to go visit our friends at one of the orphanages for the whole day tomorrow.

We'll write more tomorrow, and hopefully have some pictures!
